Refund Policy

01Overview
MellowMeta provides custom service-based work. Because time, labor, and resources are committed from the start of each project, refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis and are generally not available for completed work.
This policy applies to all services offered by MellowMeta, including web design packages, hosting plans, and add-on services.
02Web Design
All web design work is custom and time-based. The following applies:
- A 50% non-refundable deposit is required before work begins. That deposit is not refundable once work has started.
- The remaining 50% balance is due upon project completion, before the site goes live. Work will not be published until the final balance is paid in full.
- If a project is cancelled before any work has begun, a full refund of any deposit may be issued at MellowMeta's discretion.
- If a project is cancelled mid-build, MellowMeta may invoice for work completed beyond the deposit at $50/hr.
- Completed websites that have been delivered and approved are not eligible for a refund.
- If a client fails to respond or provide required materials for 30 or more consecutive days, the project is considered abandoned. The deposit is forfeited and MellowMeta may close the project without further obligation.
03Hosting Plans
Hosting is billed monthly. The following applies:
- Monthly hosting fees are non-refundable once a billing period has started.
- Either party may cancel hosting with 7 days' written notice before the next billing cycle. No partial month refunds will be issued.
- Upon cancellation in good standing, MellowMeta will provide one WordPress XML site export within 5 business days at no charge. Full database and file-level backups may be provided upon request for a flat fee of $50, due before delivery.
- Client data will not be retained beyond 14 days after the cancellation effective date.
04Add-On Services
Add-on services such as SEO setup, WordPress migrations, hosting setup, and content maintenance are non-refundable once the work has been performed. Add-on services are paid in full before work begins. If an add-on has been purchased but not yet started, contact us to discuss options.
05Exceptions
If MellowMeta fails to deliver an agreed-upon service or there is a significant error on our part, we will work to correct it at no additional charge. If a resolution cannot be reached, a partial or full refund may be issued at MellowMeta's discretion.
We stand behind the work we deliver. If something is wrong, reach out directly — we'd rather fix it than argue about it.
